Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Overall, considering the overall environment of Semporna, this hotel is almost equivalent to a four-star standard.The hotel is located on a secondary road, so the enviroment was quiet and clean. As we checked in, the hotel was still under partial renovation, so there were very few guests, we practically had the entire hotel to ourselves.

Negative: The hotel didn't seem ready to open when we checked in, so there were few staff members—and they couldn't communicate in English,however, they still helped me solve the problem very well by communicating through translation software. We found at midnight that there was no hot water in the bathroom (perhaps because we didn't know how to use the local water heater). A self-help manual and instructions may be helpful to future guests. Additionally, asthe hotel is located far from Semporna jetty, sometimes it's really hard to get a taxi.

Summary: Enjoyable experience.
