Positive: There is so much to say about Oemah Tepi Sawah. This place truly feels like a little paradise in the middle of the jungle. After the crowds and noise of Ubud, arriving here felt like stepping directly into peace itself, surrounded by rice fields, birdsong, and complete calm. And then there is Dewi, the owner. She’s much more than a host, she is warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. While I was working, she would quietly bring me tea, coffee, or fresh fruit, just like a mother taking care of her child. Her presence alone makes this place feel like home. Breakfast is amazing: traditional, homemade dishes full of flavour. Dinner is optional, but honestly it’s delicious, generous, and very affordable, definitely worth trying. The accommodation offers several room types. I chose one of the enclosed rooms and was very happy, but next time I might try one of the open, nature-immersed rooms for a different experience. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone searching for peace, nature, comfort, good food, and the kindness of Balinese people. My stay here has been unforgettable.
