Positive: It's a new hotel with modern furnishings., clean & comfortable. Easy check-in, helpful concierge, free flow fusion drinks while awaiting in their very nice lobby. 4 lifts to the rooms and 2 lifts to car park, no issues on waiting time. Ample parking space, quite surprising since I checked in on 20 December, starting of school holidays, There's 2 levels of basement parkings and 3 levels of upper floor parking, probably a multi-storey car parks but I couldn't find It's entry. Anyhow, basement parking was good enough, and it's free. It's used car plate recognition system, which is very hassle free. The room was quite spacey, with a single sofa and footstool. Ample space to perform our solat. I loved its lighting, where you could choose from fully bright, dimmed, reading lights on the bed and lights on top of the working desk and the sofa, everything nicely thoughts out. I had previous experience in a 5 star hotel where they'd provided a nice work desk but no lighting on top of it or at least a desk lamp. The air-conditioning system was perfect, where the control panel could show setting and room temperature. Once set, it will maintain that temperature, super comfortable. For entertainment, there's a large Samsung Smart TV with a sound bar. The channels provided were basic, and you could use Samsung smart View from your phone to mirror your favourite movies. The best part was the breakfast where we could easily spend 1-2 hours enjoying our breakfast. The place was quite large with many seats (anyhow, during my stay, it seemed that the hotel was not fully occupied). There were many choices of foods e,g. Malay, Chinese, and Indian plus Western foods. I liked that Amari Hotel provided fresh fruit juices in bottles where you could pour & mix into your mug to make some kind of detox fruit juice. It didn't stop there as they also provided chill teh tarik, coffee, strawberry smoothie etc.

Negative: My room at level 12 is facing Bukit Jambul and also a main street down there. The soundproofing was quite good, but the occasional siren from emergency vehicles was quite annoying. As I mentioned earlier , the breakfast spread was very good but there were some dishes which didn't taste good at all. For example, the lontong dish which I could describe as tasteless. My suggestion is that the kitchen team could have some kind of QC check for every food served. Hence, it could provide a 1st class experience to guests.
